GENERAL Membership Meeting Notes, 8/20/24
 
Sing-in sheet:
Mike Micara, Debbie Munch, Ro Bergin, Vicy and Barry Luckman, Drew Dillon, Joe Frazier, JIm Conklin, Fred Hagemeyer, John Farrell, Nicole Quadrone, Melissa Patterson, Erica Gangloff, Vanessa Viola, 

25 boat rentals, 3 Jetskis, 96 members, 9 honorary members, 15 senior members, 170 eligible homes

Presidents report:
Marina:  Slip rentals are lighter than normal, creating an $8,000 shortfall.
Clubhouse: rentals Average 20 parties/year. Rentals now required to carry event insurance for clubhouse rental.
Poker night was a success, where 15 members enjoyed the new event. Next poker night will be held in the evening to accommodate schedules.

Call for volunteers: Several small maintenance projects around the neighborhood need volunteers. Reply to this message to volunteer for any of the following opportunities. High school students can also volunteer for community service hours.  Letters of recognition will be provided.
Deck boards at the clubhouse need replacement.
Guard rail wood repairs
Sand and stain picnic tables
Prime and paint clubhouse bar
Beach cleanup
Power wash/scrub the flagpole
Big thank you to Debbie Munch and Fred Hagemeyer for coordinating the new benches around the boat basin!

Breakfast with Santa December (Date TBC)
FREE Trees: This is the perfect time to plant! We have red and silver dogwoods, Jack pines, Silver maple, and black walnut. Contact Vanessa and Mike at 801 Center Bay Drive or 631-742-1336.

passing of long time neighbor Tom Luccisano,
 
"With sadness we announce the passing of Tom Luccisano
whose caring nature and sense of community contributed
to BBEA for many years in many ways.
 
Funeral arrangements at Chapey’s Funeral Home,
West Islip, Friday July 12th, 3-8pm. Church Service,
First Presbyterian Church, Babylon, Saturday 13th-11 am
